ComicOne is a small Indonesian studio with a big idea: that every story deserves a chance to find its readers — and every artist deserves a chance to find their story.
Why we started
We noticed something strange. Some of the best storytellers we knew couldn’t draw. Some of the best illustrators we knew didn’t have a story to tell. And in between sat a generation of creators stuck waiting — for a partner, for a publisher, or for permission.
So we built a place where you don’t need permission.
What we’re building
ComicOne is not just a reader app. It is becoming three things at once:
- A reading home — Indonesian-made comics, fully read, fully supported.
- A creator hub — tools to help writers, illustrators, and artists make and ship work.
- A community floor — events, booths, and connections in real life, not just online.
Who this is for
If you write but cannot draw — we are for you.
If you draw but have not found a story you love — we are for you.
If you have one foot in each world — we are definitely for you.
The promise
We will not get everything right. We will iterate, listen, sometimes fail. But two things will stay:
- We will protect original creators. The work belongs to the maker.
- We will keep the door wide. Newcomers welcome, always.
