Short version: we collect as little as we can, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it. The rest of this page is the details.
What we collect
- Account info — username, email, and password (hashed, we cannot read it).
- Reading activity — which chapters you opened, so we can show "newest" and "popular" properly.
- Bookmarks & comments — because you typed them.
- Basic technical data — IP, browser, device. Standard server logs.
What we don’t collect
- We don’t track you across other websites.
- We don’t sell your data. Ever. Not even for the GDP of a small island.
- We don’t share your reading list with anyone except you.
Cookies
We use cookies for two things: keeping you logged in, and remembering your settings (dark mode, dismissed banners). That is it. No advertising cookies.
Third parties
We use a few common tools for analytics and error reporting (so we know when the app breaks). These tools never see your password, and they only see aggregated/anonymous data when possible. If we ever add a third party that does something more, we will tell you here first.
Your rights
- See your data — ask and we will send a copy.
- Delete your account — your comments and bookmarks get wiped. Your published comics stay or get removed at your choice.
- Correct something — email us and we will fix it.
Kids
ComicOne is for general audiences but not specifically for children under 13. If you are a parent and find that your child has signed up, contact us and we will close the account.
